What it is

The GT‑V1 is a standalone, Wi‑Fi‑connected bench box that talks directly to your vehicle's ECU. It flashes tunes, streams live engine data, captures diagnostic conversations, and updates its own firmware over the air. Built on a dual‑CAN, dual‑core platform with 8 MB of PSRAM, it's designed as a multi‑ECU, multi‑protocol tool — it executes tuning recipes sent from the Gurued Tuner app rather than being locked to a single vehicle, so its ECU coverage grows as new targets are brought online. Its interface hardware spans all common vehicle diagnostic and tuning protocols.

Connect from a computer to flash and tune, and from your phone at the same time for a live dashboard and datalogging — both over the board's own Wi‑Fi.

What it can do

Flash your ECU

  • CAN / UDS flashing — full reflash over the CAN bus, handled entirely on the board (session, security unlock, erase, block streaming, verification). Hardware‑proven on the Suzuki Hayabusa Gen‑3 — a complete flash runs in about 81 seconds.
  • Serial (boot‑mode) flashing — for Denso twin‑processor ECUs such as the Yamaha V‑Max / VMX17, with independent per‑chip reset and flash‑enable control. In hardware bring‑up.
  • One flash at a time, with live progress and a clear accepted / rejected result. A flash can be safely aborted at the next safe point.
  • Works alongside the Gurued Tuner app's other flashing options — the GT‑V1 is a dedicated hardware path, not the only one.

Speak the protocols your ECU uses

  • Multiple diagnostic interfaces are already designed into the board (interface chips sourced): dual CAN bus, JTAG, ISO 9141, K‑Line, and a selectable logic level for USB or RS‑232 (232) — so one tool reaches a wide range of vehicle ECUs.
  • Protocol coverage spans the common vehicle diagnostic and tuning standards: CAN (11‑ and 29‑bit), ISO‑TP, UDS (ISO 14229), OBD‑II, KWP2000, ISO 9141, K‑Line, LIN, J1939, JTAG, RS‑232, and manufacturer serial boot modes.
  • Rolling out over pre‑release firmware updates. The physical layers are on the board; firmware brings each protocol online progressively, so the exact live list depends on your unit's current firmware and the tuning definitions available in the Gurued Tuner app.

See what your engine is doing (live)

  • Passive CAN traffic monitor — every frame the ECU broadcasts, in a live per‑ID table.
  • Live dashboard — decoded gauges (RPM, gear, road speed, lean angle, warning/DTC status on supported vehicles).
  • Bus health readout — connection state, error counters, and throughput at a glance.
  • Datalogging — pick channels and a sample rate, record, and download a CSV. Log straight to your phone or PC. (On‑board SD‑card logging is planned.)

Watch and capture any flash (Comm Sniffer)

  • A fully passive, listen‑only mode that watches a flashing or diagnostic session — including one driven by another tool — without ever transmitting on the bus.
  • Capture the comm log for troubleshooting, and grab the exact firmware image being written, with an integrity checksum. Ideal for chasing an intermittent bus problem or documenting exactly what a flash did.

Spoof a single sensor signal (CAN MIMIC)

  • Present the ECU a corrected value for one CAN signal while every other frame stays honest — for example, capping an over‑aggressive rider aid so it stops cutting power when it shouldn't, while ABS and traction control remain fully intact.
  • Learn a signal and synthesise it on a single bus port: available today.
  • Inline bridge mode (rewrite one signal in‑line while everything else passes through untouched): planned — requires the second CAN port, which is coming in a firmware update.

Update itself over Wi‑Fi

  • The GT‑V1 downloads and installs its own firmware updates over the air, with automatic rollback if an update doesn't come up cleanly — so the unit keeps gaining features and fixes after purchase, with no cables or reflashing on your end.

Connectivity

  • Wi‑Fi — the board runs its own access point and can join your shop's network. Reach it in a browser at its built‑in address, by name (GTuner.local), or by its network address.
  • Simultaneous connections — a computer for flashing/tuning and a phone for the dashboard/datalog can both be connected at once.
  • USB‑C — for console and setup.
  • Selectable serial logic level — switch the wired serial interface between USB and RS‑232 (232) to match the ECU or tool you're connecting to.
  • Everything runs over the board's Wi‑Fi — no CAN adapter or driver needed on your computer.
